A Beautiful Texas Wedding

Nelan and Jonathan’s wedding was sure a beautiful one…and I don’t just mean the looks of it. There were so many meaningful details written all over this wedding. Their wedding day was so beautifully done and her “team” of people truly made the already beautiful venue, even more beautiful! It truly was elegant and timeless. Also, don’t even get me started on how excited I was when I found out that Jonathan’s jacket was velvet! So so fun and still classy!

To begin with… Nelan’s dad passed away when she was younger, so it was important for her to include things that were her dads. We used his wedding band in some of the detail photos. She also brought one of her dad’s flannel shirts and we got some beautiful shots of Nelan in her wedding dress along with her dad’s shirt. There were so many other special details as well.

My favorite part of the ceremony is listening to the vowels that couples write each other. If you listen carefully you can learn a lot about each person. I learned that Jonathan is patient, that Nelan knew Jonathan was the one after he waited hours in the Texas heat so Nelan sit in the front row for a Johnny Swim concert and that one of Nelan’s favorite things to do is to watch Jonathan lead worship. But, most importantly, that Nelan’s dad would approve of their marriage.

It truly was a beautiful day full of emotion, gratitude and lots of JOY!! I love me some Texas weddings. You’re always guaranteed a great time, fantastic food and AMAZING people! Nelan and Jonathan, I can’t wait to come back some day to take maternity pictures for you when you guys decide to have a little one! 🙂
