Imagine this. A fireplace mantle with a beautiful display of white balloons with greenery creating an arch. A honeycombed shaped backdrop with the words “Abigail’s 1st Bee Day” draped across. A mini white cake with the cutest little bee decorations. A high chair beautifully decorated with flowers and a yellow ONE sign hung above it. Snacks are being put together in the kitchen. There’s the pitter patter of a now one year old’s hands and knees crawling around in the background as everything is being set out. She’s wearing the most adorable bee dress and headband. Guests will be arriving any minute.

Every parent experiences that moment when their child turns one. There are so many emotions. Happiness, sadness and an anticipation for what’s to come. There’s nothing quite like that first year! They hit so many incredible milestones. They go from complete dependency to trying to be independent. The first year is full of, well…..firsts.

I’m so thankful that Jordan and Rachel have these photos with sweet Abigail! They will be able to look back and remember this sweet season in life when she just turned one! Thank you Jordan and Rachel for allowing me to take these for you guys! Abigail is seriously precious and I know a treasure to the both of you!
